Welcome to Casa Sol dos Curiosos – it’s own kind of a micro residency space between the beautiful villages of Estoi & São Brás de Alportel (less than 10 min away from Casa Sol dos Curiosos) at Algarve / at the 300 days of sunny South of Portugal. Yipp.

Meet my Alter Ego "El President"

Casa Sol do Curiosos – is a special space for playful creation & interaction from international artists with Portuguese locals and expats – a “Micro-Residency” of it’s own kind.

A larger rural house with 4 double bed rooms for guests – a music room, a pool and a big living room with a fire place, a big cinema screen (3.60 x 2.20m), a piano… a special space to invite artists in particular who want to start or further develop projects there, either alone or with me, from which we will create an exchange event with Portuguese locals & expats — in order to create an opportunity here as well to engage in personal exchange through a shared experience. 

Started on November 1st 2025 – located at the countryside – between the wonderful villages Sao Bras de Alportel & Estoi – 25 min from airport Faro – 15 min to the beaches of Olhao/Fuzeta & close to nature parks such as Ria Fomosa & natural refuge Fonte da Seiceira (32m waterfall)… 

A “kind of empty” Cinema „OSSONOBA“ – which looks like a location in an Alejandro Jodorowsky movie (Estoi / 7km away) – wait’s to be re-awaken from his sleeping beauty trough art and its exchange value and power.

A personal invitation to you!!!

I would like to invite you – to create something special together – to offer curios locals and expats from the area – a reason to come and join us – to interact, exchange and connect on an “analog” base. That’s what’s soooo needed – at least in my opinion.
 
My mini cinema salon – this time with a big inside fire place – will be re-opened
 
I bought a vintage Korg M20 Synthesizer, a vintage SQ 10 Sequencer, Peaches’ legendary Groovebox 505 & a mic to make music on a playful way – as a curios Dilettant with all kinds of musicians who like to play with me. And yes – a Piano is also here! 
 
Two sewing machines & some applications from India and other countries wait – to be used to customize t-shirts, pants together with me.
 
And of course “Casa Sol dos Curiosos” could be a place to organize specific micro artist residency’s and workshops for friends and their artist friends. 
 
And of course – you could combine all of this with surfing, hiking, or trip to Ria Formosa a huge nature park with a labyrinth of canals where thousands of birds and flamingos live.
